Real Madrid
Club de Fútbol (Spanish pronunciation: [reˈal maˈðɾið ˈkluβ ðe ˈfuðβol]; Royal Madrid Football Club), commonly
known as Real Madrid, or simply as Real, is a professional football club based in Madrid, Spain.
Founded in
1902 as Madrid Football Club, the team has traditionally worn a white home kit
since then. The word real is Spanish for royal and was bestowed to the club by
King Alfonso XIII in 1920 together with the royal crown in the emblem. The team
has played its home matches in the 81,044-capacity Santiago Bernabéu Stadium in
downtown Madrid since 1947. Unlike most European football clubs, Real Madrid's
members (socios) have owned and operated the club since its inception.
The club is
the world's richest football club in terms of revenue, with an annual turnover
of €604 million, and the world's most valuable sports team, worth €2.4 billion
($3.3 billion).Real Madrid is one of three founding members of the Primera
División which has never been relegated from the top division, along with Athletic
Bilbao and FC Barcelona. The club holds many long-standing rivalries, most
notably El Clásico with FC Barcelona and the Madrid derby with Atlético Madrid.
Real Madrid
established itself as a major force in both Spanish and European football
during the 1950s. Domestically, Real Madrid has won a record 32 National
Leagues titles, 19 Cups of the King, 9 Spain´s
Supercups, 1 Eva Duarte Cup and 1 Cup of the League. Internationally it has won a record
of ten European Cup/UEFA Champions League titles and a joint record three
Intercontinental Cups, as well as two UEFA Cups, and two UEFA Super Cups.

ReplyDeleteHi, I'm Sergio Martinez. I think Alvaro, you've worked hard, and it shows. But it's not a cut and paste an internet text. The topic, I think it is a s***t, because I'm a fan of Atletico de Madrid
ReplyDeleteThank you for your comment girls but you have to say something more for me to grade you ok?
ReplyDeleteSergio, thanks for the comment but you've been a little mean! Álvaro has worked so hard and although you are an Atletico supporter you have to try to find a nice way of saying it. For example: "I think Alvaro, you've worked hard, and it's clear. I don't like Real Madrid but I think you did a great job despite the topic"
Hi , I´m Jaime Ferre . Your text is really cool , you´ve worked hard , good job.
ReplyDeleteThank you Jaime.
ReplyDeleteHey, people. If you want me to take your comments into consideration it is not enough to flatter the student who selected the text. You have to give your opinion about it in an argumentative way.
For example: Álvaro, great job. I agree with you and I think that Real Madrid Football Club is a great Spanish team. However I think that Atlético de Madrid is better because they fight to win and they seem to be a little bit more focus and coordinated when they are playing.
that would be an appropiate comment! :)
